PALMITOYL OLIGOPEPTIDE: Palmitoyl Oligopeptide (also known as palmitoyl pentapeptide, Dermaxyl, Matrixyl and Matrixyl 3000) is an engineered amino-peptide that when added to a culture of fibroblasts (key skin cells), stimulates collagen, elastin and glucosaminoglycans production. These are the key components of healthy-looking skin. Clinically proven to reduce wrinkle depth by increasing hyaluronic acid and collagen production, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide (PO)is a synthetic protein that is a fragment of collagen combined with palmitic acid to make it more lipophillic, to improve its stability and to enhance its affinity towards human skin.  خشکی پوست پدیده ایست که در اکثر خانم ها در شروع یائسگی اتفاق می افتد. خارش پوست نیز در این دوره بسیار مشکل آفرین بوده و اغلب با قرمزی فراوان همراه است.

 کلئوپاترا برای تمیز کردن پوست خود حمام شیر می گرفت! سالیسیلیک اسید نیز که یک اسید بتاهیدروکسی است به پوسته اندازی لایه شاخی کمک می کند. این ماده تاثیر چندانی بر کاهش محتوی آب لایه شاخی پوست ندارد به همین علت موجب سوزش و خارش پوست نمی شود . اسیدهای بتاهیدروکسی به صورت عمقی در اپیدرم (لایه روپوست) نفوذ نمی کنند. استفاده منظم از محصولات حاوی هیدروکسی اسیدها می تواند خطوط نازک و چروک های ریز پوست را از طریق آبرسانی و پوست اندازی محوتر نمایند.

 باور غلط: شکلات و غذاهای چرب باعث جوش زدن صورت می شود! نتیجه مطالعات نشان داده غذای خاصی که تاثیر اثبات شده ای برجوش زدن صورت داشته باشد وجود ندارد هرچند که خوردن بیش از حد شکلات، شیرینی و غذاهای خیلی چرب به هیچ وجه توصیه نمی شود! باور غلط: نور خورشید باعث بهبود جوش صورت می شود! هرچند که برنزه شدن پوست موقتا جوشها را پنهان می کند اما نور خورشید می تواند باعث خشکی و خارش پوست شود و پوست را مستعد جوش زدن کند. علاوه برآن، قرار گرفتن بیش از حد در معرض آفتاب می تواند باعث پیری زودرس (Premature aging) و در حالات شدیدتر سرطان پوست شود. در صورتیکه پوست صورت شما مستعد جوش زدن است همیشه آن را با استفاده از محصول ضدآفتاب با حداقل عیار حافظتی 15 که عبارتهای Noncomedogenic یا Nonacnegenic به معنای غیرجوش زا بر روی برچسب آن درج شده است پوشیده نگاه دارید. البته توجه داشته باشید که شرکت های آرایشی بهداشتی ملزم به اثبات این ادعا نیستند. اما برای محصولات معتبرT مطالعات ایمنی معمولاً انجام می شود. باور غلط: اگر می خواهی پوست صورتت صاف و شفاف بماند آرایش نکن! از استفاده بیش از حد کرمها، لوسیون ها و ژل ها روی پوست خودداری کنید. از آرایش غلیظ دوری کنید و در صورت استفاده از محصولات رنگی آرایشی در پایان روز با استفاده از پاک کننده های ملایم صورت بقایای مواد آرایشی را بزدایید. البته امروزه کرمهای محوکننده ای (Concealer) در لیست محصولات آرایشی وجود دارد که با داشتن موادی مثل بنزوئیل پروکساید و سالیسیلیک اسید حتی باعث بهبود جوشها نیزمی شود. باور غلط: هر چه صورتت را بیشتر بشویی کمتر جوش می زند! درست است که شستن پوست باعث زدوده شدن چربی وچرک از منافذ پوست می شود اما افراط در این کار می تواند باعث خشکی و تحریک پوست شود و آن را مستعد جوش زدن کند. برای شستشوی پوست صورت خود از آب و صابون ملایم استفاده کنید و این عمل را به آرامی و با ملایمت انجام دهید. برای خشک کردن پوست با حوله از روش گذاشتن و برداشتن (blot drying) استفاده نمایید. از ساییدن و خراشیدن پوست صورت در هنگام شستشو اجتناب کنید. باور غلط: ترکاندن جوشها باعث تسریع در بهبود آن می شوند! ترکاندن جوشها ممکن است به طور موقتی برجستگی آن را کمتر نشان دهد اما در عمل، بهبود آن را به تعویق می اندازد. شما با فشاردادن جوشها، باکتری را مستقیما به داخل پوست خود فشار می دهید که این خود باعث قرمزی و برافروختگی پوست می شود. با این عمل، گاهی لکه های قرمز و قهوه ای رنگی به نام اسکار(Scar) بر روی پوست برجای می ماند. بعضی وقتها بهبودی این لکه ها تا چند ماه به طول می انجامد.

 درماتیت سبورئیک، شدیدترین وضعیت شوره است که تمام علائم مربوط به خارش پوست سر و عدم تعادل سیستم ایمنی در آن وجود دارد.

 شوره را می توان به دو نوع خشک و چرب تقسیم بندی کرد. در شوره خشک ، کراتینیزه شده بیش از حد اتفاق می افتد و لایه های کراتین به شکل غیر طبیعی کنده می شوند و ریزش می کند. درشوره چرب، لیپیدهای پوست به صورت غیر طبیعی تولید می شوند. در شوره های شدید، لیپیدها توسط میکروارگانیزم های پوست سر تجزیه می شوند و محصولات ناشی از تجزیه لیپیدها موجب خارش پوست سر و التهاب می شود و حتی می تواند ایجاد نوعی بیماری پوستی به نام pityriasis و یا ریزش مو در اثر پیتی رایسیس مزمن شود.

 عوامل داخلی بروز شوره سد از جمله عوامل داخلی می توان به عدم عملکرد سالم و صحیح پوست سر یا اعضای بدن، تغییرات در تعادل هورمونی، رژیم نامناسب غذایی و یا سوء تغذیه و تنش های عصبی اشاره نمود. عوامل خارجی بروز شوره سد از عوامل خارجی نیز می توان تغییر در رشد باکتری ها و قارچ های پوست سر واکنش های التهابی موضعی به دنبال استفاده از برخی محصولات آرایشی (مانند لوسیون های الکلی قوی، صابون های قلیایی و عوامل آسیب زننده به پوست سر) و حتی مصرف برخی داروها مانند داروهای ضدانعقاد و مدر اشاره نمود. علائم شوره سر پوسته های سفید رنگی که لابه لای موها و روی لباس دیده می شوند. خارش پوست سر درمان شوره سر با توجه به نقش میکروارگانیسم ها در بروز شوره سر، از نخستین گام های درمانی مواد ضدقارچ می باشند. داروهایی که برای درمان شوره سر به کار می روند باید به خوبی توسط پوست تحمل شود، فاقد اثرات سمی باشد، دفع بیش از حد سبوم را برطرف نماید، با توجه به عملکرد مخمرها و لیپولیز تری گلیسریدهای سبوم، عارضه خارش نیز دیده می شود که این مواد باید بتوانند این خارش را نیز برطرف نمایند؛ و سبب تسهیل تغذیه پیاز مو گردد.

 تحریک کنندگی سولفات ها اگر شما سدیم لوریل سولفات را در تماس مستقیم پوست قرار دهید، پوست را تحریك می‌کند. اگر شامپوهای حاوی این ماده با چشم تماس داشته باشند چشم را می‌سوزانند. اگر در شامپو غلظت بالایی از سولفات‌ها استفاده شده باشد باعث خارش پوست سر می‌شود و موها در اثر استفاده از آن خشك می‌شوند. هرچه مقدار این سولفات‌ها بیشتر باشد تحریک‌کنندگی و خشک‌کنندگی بیشتری خواهد داشت. بله، از این نظر محرك است. اما برای اینكه بگوییم یك تركیبی سرطان‌زا می‌باشد یا خیر بایستی اودینس بیس (Evidence Based) صحبت كنیم. یعنی باید بر اساس مدارك علمی صحبت كنیم. مجله معتبری به نام American Toxicology است. در این مجله همان‌طور كه از نامش پیداست در مورد مسمومیت‌زایی تركیبات صحبت می‌کند. در یكی از شماره‌های این مجله در سال 1983 مقاله‌ای می‌باشد كه اختصاصاً در مورد سولفات‌ها صحبت كرده است. در این مجله در مورد دو سولفات رایج كه عبارتند از سدیم لوریل سولفات و آمونیوم لوریل سولفات كاملاً توضیح داده و نتیجه تحقیقات را عنوان كرد ه است. برای دستیابی به این مقاله، سایتی به نام CIR-SAFETY.ORG است.

 مباحث این درس را خلاصه می‌کنم؛ گفتیم كه سولفات‌ها سرطان‌زا نیستند، گفتیم سولفات‌ها در غلظت بالای 2 درصد تحریک‌کننده و باعث ایجاد خارش پوست سر می‌شوند و هرچه مقدار آنها از 2 درصد بیشتر شود به همان نسبت میزان تحریک‌کنندگی‌شان بیشتر می‌شود.

 معایب سولفات‌ها این است كه ذاتاً خشن هستند. یعنی اگر در غلظت بالا استفاده شود و شامپو به خوبی فرموله نشود یا موقع استفاده به خوبی آبكشی نشود موها را خشك می‌کند و موجب خارش پوست سر می‌شود.

 بیماری پوستی که به آن درماتیت عصبی یا نورو درماتیت (لیکن سیمپلکس مزمن) گفته می شود با پچ های خارش دار پوستی شروع می شود. اقدام به خاراندن پوست توسط شما خارش پوست را بیشتر می کند. به مرور زمان این خاراندن تبدیل به عادت می شود و ادامه پیدا می کند تا جایی که پوست تغییررنگ داده، ضخیم و چرمی می شود.
