An opportunity to flee the traffic fumes of Tehran for a fresh air in the foothills of the Alborz Mountains. The walking trails pass waterfalls and streams as they head up into the hills. The place is crowded in the Fridays.
The lower reaches of trails are lined with teahouses and stalls selling food and drinks, which are very popular.
A dish of breakfast by the stream will soon help you forget the Tehran traffic.
You can take photo and feed the birds while you are having breakfast in the streams of Darband
on the way up, you will get treats to sample of pickled apricots, lavashak (sheets of pressed dried fruit).
